Canyonlands National Park Intimate Wedding
Matt and Nichol decided to abandon the traditional and head down to Canyonlands National Park in Moab, Utah to get married at Grand Point View Overlook. They brought their closest family and friends, and exchanged vows on the most perfect February day.
A few weeks earlier, I headed down to Moab with them to check out the ceremony location, as well as take some more photos of them in their wedding attire. This has to be one of my FAVORITE days I’ve ever spent in Moab. There was a crazy thick fog that was covering most of the state, and I was shocked it was just as foggy there as it was in Salt Lake City! It made for some crazy shots in Canyonlands especially. I love the contrast in the photos we took versus the ones are their wedding day when there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Nichol and Matt have now become good friends with my fiancé and I, and we love to go on mountain biking adventures as well as riding the local ski resorts around the salt lake valley with them!
Matt and Nichol are the perfect example of how you can tailor your wedding day to meet your vision, and break tradition. They did a reception back up in Salt Lake so they could celebrate with everyone they wanted to, while still having that awesome destination elopement experience!
