Kelsey, Joe & a Zion Sunset

Sunset at Canyon Overlook

After getting married Salt Lake City, Kelsey and Joe decided they wanted to head down south to get some adventurous formal photos in Zion National Park in Southern Utah. Kelsey and Joe are some of my old friends, and I was thrilled to do these photos for them, and to make a fun weekend out of it! We started hiking an hour and a half before sunset, and made it to the overlook just as the sun was setting behind the cliffs. Joe and Kelsey are definitely made for each other, and I couldn’t be more excited to capture these for them.

I love the soft back light coming through the canyon.

After we finished shooting, we headed back to our little Airbnb in Kanab to end the night with take out and card games. My favorite thing about these types of sessions is you’re completely free of any sort of pressure or timeline, and we just get have a fun time running around in the dirt and taking photos!
